Reward<\/em> and Salvation<\/em> practically mean the same thing and both are merited by self denial and good works while faithfully serving Christ in their church to the end of their lives. They don’t believe one can know if they will get to Heaven until their death:<\/p>\n

Matthew 24:13 – He that shall endure unto the end<\/strong> the same shall be saved<\/em><\/p>\n

They do not view Salvation as a gift by grace through faith:<\/p>\n

Eph. 2:8-9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.<\/em> <\/p>\n

They believe (some) 2x2s can merit salvation and will be rewarded by being a committed follower of the 2×2 church, obedience and good works:<\/p>\n

1 Cor 3:8 – \u2026and every man shall receive his own reward<\/strong> according to his own labour.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Col. 3:23-24 – Whatever you do, work<\/strong> at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.<\/em><\/p>\n

Worker Quote: Philemon 2:12 – “Wherefore my beloved …. work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” That doesn’t mean by using our own ideas, thoughts and opinions, but in fear and trembling…One translation reads “Work AT your salvation with fear and trembling.” There is lots to do–an eternal work in our hearts and lives. It is up to us to work at it with a definite plan and thoughts in our minds<\/em> (Graham Snow<\/a>), 2005.<\/p>\n

Worker Quote: There is a little sign…[that] says that the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all sin. That’s true, but it’s only part. I think that maybe that is one of the devil’s cleverest tactics, devices, just to quote all the promises in God’s word, but not the conditions. You know that the first part of that verse starts out with “But if.” “But if <\/strong>we walk in the light as He is in the light, then we will have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus will cleanse us.” <\/p>\n

Sometimes…the minister, he really wants to drill this point into everyone, that Jesus did it all. There isn’t a thing that you can do. In fact you are even presumptuous to think that there is anything that you can do. This is a doctrine that everyone wants to hear. They don’t want to hear anything about repenting, or believing, or forgiving, or loving. That’s all works. They love to hear that there’s nothing for you to do. Jesus did it all. But that’s a lie.<\/strong> When you only have part of the truth you only have a lie, and that’s one of Satan’s devices<\/em> (Merlin Affleck,<\/a> Merced, CA, 2004)<\/p>\n
